Main Missions
- Take part and drive object squad projects, by contributing to all steps of the life cycle, from design to implementation, testing, and production.
- Responsible for the design, architecture discussions and ensure that the systems are robust, secure, and well-designed.
- Act as a subject matter expert in your area of responsibility.
- Collaborate with the team members unblocking any technical challenges faced.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software while ensuring an amazing user experience.
- Develop practical, fault-tolerant high-performance distributed systems.
- Use native Node.JS libraries for storage services and Golang for Kubernetes operators.
Desired Skills & Experience - The ideal candidate would have the following knowledge and skills:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. ?
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer focusing primarily on the backend and at least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience in developing and testing clear, robust code, while keeping performance in mind.
- Experience in multiple languages like Node.js, GoLang, and python.
- Experience in storage and distributed systems space.
- Ability to provide clear and educated feedback on technical issues.
- Ability to evaluate new components and dependencies keeping in mind long-term maintenance.
Technical Skills
- Orchestration: Kubernetes, docker, containerd, salt, ansible
- System: Linux, networking, security(OWASP top 10, public-key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption, SSH, etc)
- Backend: Node.js, golang, python
- Distributed Systems: Redis, kafka, mongoDB, zookeeper, high availability, scaling
- Testing: Design, test plans, mocking, bracketing, benchmarking, profiling
- Tools: Jira, platform9, terraform
- Versioning: Github
